Help Serena Design a Computer

Serena is celebrating her 6-month anniversary on her job. She is doing well and enjoys her work. A friend from college called and offered her freelance work she can do in her free time. The job is designing a poster and other promotional materials for a summer concert series in the park. This is exactly the type of design work Serena wants to do, but she doesn't have a computer at home...

The freelance work would pay $700. You have to spend money to make money sometimes! The extra money Serena earns can pay for the investment she is making in the new computer. She will need a loan or credit card to buy the computer initially, but should have it paid off quickly if she continues to get freelance work.

Serena has taken the first step and figured out what type of computer, printer, and software she needs. She needs a computer fast enough to run her graphics software. Once Serena has developed my design ideas, she will also need to print them out for the client to review.

• Mid-level performance and speed

• High-resolution monitor

• Graphics card

• CD burner

• Keyboard and mouse that reduce wrist strain and prevent injury

• Color printer
